Total, £678 lla Bd. COMMERCIAL TJBLEGEAMS. Dunedin, May 17. Stock and Grain Market —At the weekly sales to-dsy. a moderate supply of fat cattle came forward, and a fair competition resulted in an improvement on last week’s rates, bullocks fetched £5 to £lO. Beet may be quoted at from 20s to 22s per hundred. '1 he aupp yof fat sheep was exces-ive, and the bidding was slow at a decline of Is per head. Mutton is quoted at 2d to 2id per lb. Grain, whe it—The market is without change, many holders continuing firm in the expectation of higher prices, but buyers being disinol red to advance beyond last quotations. Prime milling, 4s 8d ; medium, 4s to 4s 6d ; inferior and fowl feed, 2s 6d_to3s9d per bushel. Oats—lnquiry is not brisk, the shipping demand being limited by the difficulty of obtaining tonnage. Prime milling may he quoted at 3a Id to 3s 1 Jd, and good feed, 2s lOd to 3a per bushel. Barley—Really prime samples of malting would command np to ss; medium. 4s to 4s 9d ; and inferior and discolored, 2s 9d to 3s per hnshel.
