THE AUSTRALIAN ELEVEN r OXFORD UNIVERSITY.

This match was resumed to-day at Oxford. The Home team continued their first inning*, which closed for a total of 189, as against 3G2 of the Australians. Shaw contributed tho highest score, 78. The University men followed on their second innings, and when stumps were drawn bad put together 119 for four wickets. There was a large attendance at the match, and the weather was fine. The Australians met with a cordial reception when they went into tho field. Their bowling and fielding during the day were oxccdlent, and both elicited much applause.
