The first meeting of the season was commenced on Wednesday last, shortly after nine o’clock on the estate of Messrs Maxwell and Mathias, Racecourse Hill. A large number of coursing men availed themselves of the Tuesday night’s train, so as to ensure an early start, whilst many others preferred to wait the morning’s express. Sport wag commenced by Mr Cassidy’s fawn dog Christopher Oolombus and Mr D. O’Brien’s red and white deg Obscure, being led to the slipper for the first course ef the Derby, Appended will bo found the results of the day’s coursing : The Castsebuiit Derby, for an unlimited number of dog puppies, whelped on and after July Ist, 1830.
