Credit to balance of profit and loss account, Slat January, 1881, after allocation made at last general meeting, £8845 17s 3d ; to management, wages,rent, rates, interest, insurance, travelling, and office expenses and miscellaneous charges at head office, £4-1683 16s 5d ; to losses at branches, including goodwill written off, and loss by fire at Manukau mills, £12,069 11s lid; to provision for doubtful debts, £3000; to provision for depreciation, £ISOO ; total, £70,998 Gs 7d. Dr. Qy gross profit on goods manufactured and merchandise at the bend office, commission, &0.. £46,048 10a 8d ; by balance. £24 949 14a lid. Total, £70,998 5s 7d.
