MERIVALE FOOTBALL CLUB.
A meeting of the members of tho Merivale Football Club was held at the Carlton Hotel at half paot seven o'clock last evening, Mr H. Lowry in the ohair. There was a good attendonce considering the weather. The Chairman stated that Me3sra HcDavitt and Eugleman consented to act as president and vioe-proaident of the club. Mr H. Lowry was chosen as captain. Mr Horaco Buck was unanimously olcctcd secretary and treasurer. Messrs Hovace Buck, H. Nuttall, O. Stewart, H. F. Gamck, E. K. Lough, HLowry, and E. Broughton, sen., were elected as a committee. , Twenty gentlemen were proposed and seconded for membership. It was agreed that tho club play under the O.EU. rules, ito colors to ba blue and white. The opening match of the season was fixed for half-past two o'clook, this day, in the North Park, sides to bo chosen on the ground. The secretary was instructed to arrange for forthcoming matcheg. Tho meeting then adjourned till Friday next, same time and plaoe.
