Business continues somewhat dull, and the feverish anxiety of a few weeks back is now notable by its absence. Flour moves off quietly at £ll 10s for town brands, and a shade less for country. Oats are the turn easier from buyers' point of view, but sellers have still a good opinion of the future, and act accordingly ; the result is that little if any business has been done. No improvement is noticeable so far as barley is concerned. Choice samples find ready sales at np to 4s 6d, bat fair to ordinary are more difficult to place, except at low figures. Grass seeds are not now inquired for, and the price is therefore nominal. Potatoes have been offering freely, and a large business has been done at 30s to 32a Cd, according to place of delivery. Bo far the exports are unusually light, only one small cargo having as yet gone forward.
