The Customs duties collected at Christchurch on Tuesday, May 2nd, were as follows : Spirits, .£263 6s 8d ; tobacco, .£9B 10s Cd; wine, .£22 2s 2d ; bear, £l7 6a 6d ; sugar, £l6 5s 9d; tea, .£27 12s 4d; goods by we'ght, .£l9 15s 2d; ad valorem, -641 17s. Total, .£539 16a Id.
COMMERCIAL TELEGRAMS. Wellington, May 3. Messrs Laery and Campbell report grapes (in oases of about SOlbs), 20e to 21s; quinces, to 2d per lb ; apples, 5s 6d to 9s 6d ; pears, 7s to 8s; cocoanuts, 12s per sack ; walnuts, 7d to 8d per lb; eggs, 3s ; fresh butter, 8d to lOd per lb ; choose, 51d to 6d ; bacon and hams, 8d to 9d ; salt butter, lOd per lb; potatoes remain without demand: onions, 5s to 6s per owt; fowls brought 2s 6d per pair ; ducks, 3s 6d per pair , turkeys, 3s to 3s 6d; geese, 3s each. About half a ton of roll bacon sold from 4d to 6Jd per lb.
