THE WRECK OF THE DUKE OF SUTHERLAND.
LPKKSS ASSOCIATION T»LSQEAM.I TIMART7, May 3. The barque Duke of Sutherland has become a total wreck. Captain Rowland and the Harbor Master proceeded on board again about II o’clock last night, and succeeded with a number of men in keeping her afloat till four o’clock this morning, when she was hauled clear of the other vessels, and as the water was gaining the cable was slipped, and she was carried down towards Caroline Bay whore she broke up this afternoon. A court of enquiry will be held to-morrow afternoon* She was built at Aberdeen in 1865, and was owned by Jacob Brothers of London, The grain was insured in Adelaideoffices.
