Wild’s), Badminton, Taffy. ELLESMERE JOCKEY CLUB, A meeting of the stewards of this club was held at Spring’s Hotel on Tuesday, 2nd inat. Mr Wm. Bishop was in the chair. The secretary, Mr T. Whitoombe, read a statement of accounts, which, after providing for all outstanding liabilities, showed a small credit balance. It was decided to pay over the stakes on Wednesday. The protest against the mare Flaxen Beauty was gone into, and after some discussion was not allowed. On the information of the stewards the winner of the Hack Baoe was disqualified, not being a district horse. Several other items of routine business being disposed of, the meeting closed.
