City Council y Eobebts. —In the matter of an information against the defendant here' in charging him with erecting a building of wood within the “ inner area” defined by the by-law for the prevention of danger from fire, which information was beard on April 26 th, Mr Beetham now gave judgment. He said the building had been erected in contravention of the by-law, and that the by-law, though vague by redundancy of definition, must be taken to apply to all buildings erected in the “inner area.” Defendant would therefore be fined 20s end coats. Mr Stringer counsel for defendant, gave notice of his attention to appeal.
