LONDON, May 1.
It is now announced that Earl Spencer, the newly appointed Viceroy of Ireland, will continue to hold the position of Lord President of the Privy Council, but will be assisted in his duties of that office by Lord Carlingford, the Lord Privy Seal. It is believed that the imprisoned suspects in Ireland will shortly be released, but no authoritative statement to that effect has yet been made public. The London and Chartered Bank of Australia has declared a dividend of 3 por cent, for the past year. CAIRO, May 1.
Forty-three Circassian officers of the Egyptian army, who were last month arrested on a charge of conspiracy to murder Araba Pasha, the Minister of War, have been tried by court-martial, and, having been found guilty, were sentenced to be exiled.
