'ihe Irish Land Act In the House of Commons this afternoon, Mr J. E. Radmond, Home Ruler for New Ross, moved for leave to introduce a Bill for amending the Irish Land Act. The motion was opposed by Mr Gladstone, who promised that the Government would, during the present session, introduce a Bill for dealing with the non-payment of arrears of rent in Ireland. Mr Redmond agreed, after some further remarks, to accept the Premier's assurance in a friendly spirit, and the debate was then adjourned. AUSTRALIAN. [betjteb's telegbams.] MELBOURNE, April 27.
