As the season advances bluestone has more attention, and has been freely quitted at J 6 31 for first quality. Candles have had considerable business in large parcels, but at low rates. K "roseno, though offered at tempting prices, fails to find buyers. Ale and stoat have had gold enquiry? particularly the latter, which is getting in short supply. Geneva of medium coatents being scarce, now commands improved rates. Port wine of good quality has been quitted at fair figures—low aorta have no attention Sherries continue neglected ; an increased business has been noted for fine dry champagne, which is now greatly iu favor, inferior sorts are unsaleable. Brandy, in qr.-casks, of medium quality, has been freely placed at good rates. Teas have not had much business, and that only for med um torts, which are cheap and in good supply. Dried fruits are easier; business has been done in eleme raisin? at 7i 1; currants fetch 511. Mn - catels continue scarce, and are only obtainable at extieme rates. Tobaccos have been quiet but firac. Twist of good quality, finds buyers at Is 5d ; nailrod is; rather scarce, and any parcel in fair cordition is eagerly bought up. Salt has had more business than formerly, but at low rates. There has been a small inquiry for salmon at 8s 3 1, stocks of which are somewhat reduced; other fish are unnoticed. Cornsacks have had but trifling business at 83 6d. Corrugated iron continues firm at the established advance, at which but little business has been done. '
