TbEUTBE'S TELEGBAMB.I MELBOURNE, April 22. Smallpox Declining. No fresh case of smallpox has been reported to the health officer. Supposed HomicideThe body of a man, believed to have been murdered, has been found in the Friendly Society's grounds at Richmond. The supposed murderer has been arrested by the police. Special Telegrams. The proprietors of the Melbourne " Age" have brought an action against the proprietors of the " World," weekly newspaper, to recover payment for the supply of special Enropean telegrams. Results of Protection. The firms of Meadway and Bell and David Masterton, of this city, have become insolvent. It is apprehended that other mercantile houses will shortly be compelled to suspend payment. April 23. Jealousy and its ResultsA case of attempted murder and suicide occurred to-day in Russell street. A Hungarian named Sieber shot at and dangerously wounded a barmaid and subsequently killed himself. The crime is attributed to jealousy. Line Interrupted. The Australian overland telegraph line is interrupted.
