GEAIN AND PEODUCE. There is but little alteration to note in the grain market during the past week so far as prices are oo learned, notwithstanding a slightly easier feelin-. Wheat has been offered more freely than of late, but the disposition to operate is not by any means so keen as it was, the further withdrawal of ships having evidently weakened the market. Good sound quality is, however, saleable at from 4s to 4s sd, according to description and place of delivery, whilst for choice Tuscan more money is obtainable. Flour is in moderate trade demand at .£lO to .£ll, according to brand. Oats are with ont quotable alteration, notwithstanding the sadden decline in Melbourne, which is doubtless accounted for by increased supply of maizs. It would appear that, at all events for the present, our market will not be affected by outside adverse influences. Barley continues difficult to sell, - xcept in cases where the quality is goed, when 4s can be obtained. Medium and inferior samples will probably be extensively used os horse feed, mixed with oats, and this appears about th.i only remunerative way to clear the market of low grades. Grass seeds continue quiet and without alteration in value. Potatoes are now offering, and several sales have been made at 30s, which appears to be the general market value, Batter is in good request at lOd, and cheese in m derate demand at sd.
