PAPANDI COUE9ING CLUB. Second Day. The club’s meeting was resumed on resumed on Wednesday on the Ohoka racecourse, just before ten o’clock, the weather being all that could be desired, and the cport and attendance was tlio better than on the previous day. The firet round of the Puppy Stakes was continued by Morivale running an accidental bye, Mr Bassett having drawn Nebula. Taraban and Tam O’Shantcr wore then taken to the slipper, and before long they were sent away to a good haro, to which Toraban led and did nearly all the work, the con-ss being never in doubt. Loughshielau Witch and the Vagabond were the next to meet, and the slut had but little trouble in disposing of her opponent, who was scarcely in condition. Orange Lightning and Yashti then met, and were released to a long slip, the former leading by about five lengths. Some exchanges followed, and Orange Lightning scored. Bannermnn then led Merivalo on a rattling spin from a long slip, after a big’un, the black leading for about fifty yards with determination, never allowing Merivale any chance to score; and, after two or three wrenches, puns was lest, and the flog went up for Baucermnn. Taraban and Grand Flaneur were the next to show, the former leading up and taking the first turn out of the hare, who, after some exchange, was driven through a gorse fence, where some work was dona cut of sight, but the course was decided in Taraban’* favor at tho hedge. Orange Lightning and Loughshiolan WitcU were the next two confided to Mr McDonnell's care, and they ware sent fur hunting in a paddock of self-sown oats, that rather told against them, the former showing in advance about, a couple of lengths and getting first turn, the hare then bent to the Witch, who was busy for a time, but the other raced up and resumed possession. Orange Lightning got in and piled up a score, holding same to the fence, ar.d won the course. Tho All-aged Stakes was then set going by Chrysanthemum and Wizard being sent on a quest after a racing hare, to which tho fljvrer led. A give and take course resulted in favor of tho alut for a time, butW;zird came on and wrested the piece from tho slut, speedily wiping out her score. Li Loup end Ruby camo next, the dog leading, and wmningas ho liked. After this, tho Agent ran rings round Louie, and placed a brilliant course to his owner’s credit. Starlight and Ricketts then came to slips, and tho slip was a long one. They raced for a long distance close locked. Ricketts drawing slightly ahead, but tho hare broke to Starlight, who took two turns out of her. Ricketts then got in and balanced accounts. Exchanges followed, the hare being eventually driven to cover, and Starlight scored. Wheel o' Fortune theu ran a by a. The first tits were initiated by Wizard and L" Loup going to the slipper.
