The health of the Queen is much improved since her arrival at Mentone, and her Majesty will return to England at an early date. The Money Market-
Consols have declined to 1011. New Zealand Five per Cent. 10-40 Loan and Five per Cent. 1889 Loan have both advanced to 105 ; Fonr-and-a-Half per Cent. 1879-1904 Loan remains at 103. The market for colonial produce is unchanged. Lord Salisbury on Ireland-
At a banquet given last evening at Liverpool to the members of Parliament for that town, the Marquis of Salisbury, who was present, made a speech upon the political situation. Referring to Ireland, Lord Salisbury advocated the adoption of a scheme to enable Irish tenant farmers to purchase their holdings. Release of a “ Suspect.”

A rumor is current here to-day that the United States’ screw frigate Richmond, fourteen guns, has been totally lost, with her crew of 600 officers and men. The report, however, requires confirmation.
