Total, £9BB Oj 7d. At the usual sitting of the Waste Lards Board, hold at Christchurch on Thursday, April 61h, Bales wore made as follows:—Ordinary, Ashley, 35a lr; Selwyu, 34a Or 25p; Akaioa, 39a Or sp; Ashburton, 26a 2r 27p; Waimato, 4p. Deferred payment village settlement, Orari, No. 2,7 a 2r. Total acreage sold, 142 a2r 21p. Total cash received, £345 5s 31. Refunds on account of former purchases were made on the amount of £72 I4s. PROPERTY SALE. Messrs H. Matson & Co on Saturday, Bfch April, held a large land sale, and long before the time announced for the auction the rooms were crowded. A farm situate at Tai Tapu, containing *297 acres land was passed in at a bid of £l7 2s 6d per acre, and will no doubt be sold during the coming week. A section land having a frontage on Colombo road, Sydenham, of 18 feet •with house, shop, store, workshops, and cottage, in the estate of Geo. Richardson, was sold for £9OO. The above sections in Sydenham averaged £705 18s per acre, and £54 19s 7d per section. Total sale; £4079105.
