MOBNING GALLOPS AT ELLEBSLIE. AUCKLAND, April 6, Notwithstanding that the ground is very heavy after the recent rain, thirty horses were out to-day, and some excellent work was done. Louie, Virginia Water and Amazon did two miles stripped. The two last named appeared pretty fit, the mare especially, Baku took the hurdles well, bar the double jump, and afterwards did a mile in company with Catoh-’em. The latter had the best of the spin. Mischief and Soukar stripped and did three miles at halt speed, both moved well. Grey Momus was sent two miles at half speed jumping fast. Te Whetu and My Dream went twice round at half speed, the former showing an inclination to extend himself. My'Dream left his companion for the second time round, rushing up fast, Paramena did a mile and a half in his old style. Lonehand was sent a mile, moving very freely. Angler was sent at the old grey on the second round, and stuck to him well. Scotch Mist did the mile, coming home the last half mile at a good bat. Landseer galloped a mile, moving very well, and Black Cock and Lara did a mile, the former moving slow. King Quail did two miles at a slow pace. The following acceptances were received for the Trades Prate Handicap Vampire, Lara, Kenilworth, Bocket, Maid of Honor, Diver, Virginia Water, Larry, Scotch Mist. Little Nelly, Tenambra, Soukar, Luckpcnny, Paramena, Maori. Hurdle Kace Handicap—Lonehand, Angler, Grey Momus, Harry Mount, Harkawav, Matoa, Te Whetu, N or M, Catch ’em, Baku, Wild Dayrell. The Auckland Jockey Club has confirmed the disqualification of Bandwick. AUCKLAND J.O, MEETING AUCKLAND, April 7.
