Sir, —According to yonr instructions we have male a practical test and thorough examination of the following Sewing Machines, viz , the Wheeler and Wilson, Jones and Co., Wertheim, and the Davis, and the results of onr experiments ars sot forth in the tabulated statement attached. Wo find that the Wertheim and Jones all of the Singer typo and similar in construction, and should be classed in the same order. The Wheeler and Wilson differs In construction, hnt the results of our experiments are similar to the former named. As regards the DAVIS, we cannot but agree with the jury that it is very superior to any of the others, and went through every teat to our entire satisfaction.
