Sir, —According to yonr instructions we have male a practical test and thorotgh examination of the following Sewing Micblnes, viz , the Wheeler and Wilson, Jones md Co., Wertheim, and the Davis, and the faults of onr experiments are set forth in the tabulated statement attached. We find that the Wertheim and Jones all of the Singer type and similar in construction, and should be classed in tie same order. The Wheeler and Wilson differs In construction, but the results of our experiments are similar to the former named. As regards the DAVIS, wo canoot but Egree with the jury that it is very mperior ;o any of the others, and went through every test to our entire satisfaction.
