Thß Cuatoma duties collected at Christ, church on Friday, March 31st, were as follows : —Spirits, _lßl 9s ; tobacco, .£lB 9s 6d; wino, £lO 14a 2d; beer, £ls 12s 6d; sugar, £54 Ss Id; tea, .£8 14s; ad valorem, £615 15s. Total. £965 2s 3d. AUCTIONEERS' REPORTS. At the land an* estate ealerooms of Messrs H. Mataon and Co. on Saturday last a sale cf properties took place, and although the attendance was large, the biddings were not very animated. A section of land, together with house situate in Cashel street east, sold for £2lO. Several other properties were offered, but failed to find purchasers. The Ohauiti estate, situate at Tauranga, in tte North Island, containing 6517 aores of freehold land, together with 5.7 acres of leasehold, with 3000 sh:ep, 200 head of cattle, horses, implements, and all improvements, for which a bid was made of £1800; the sale is in abeyance, and will most probably be effected.
