SPORTING.
MORNING GALLOPS,
The work done on the course before breakfast yesterday morning is soarcely worth reporting. Outts was first at work, and sent the Dauphin, accompanied with the Toi-toi filly and the Poet, a turn round at a good strong pace. The three moved well, and got through their work in a satisfactory manner. Lunn’s team were tho next to follow. Old Clarence did eome strong useful work, Whitbateh and Welcome Jack following at a good steady pace. Canard was then put through some steady work, and was followed by Quamby, going twice round at a fair pace. Nonsense and Siesta then came in for a once round, slow. The chains were then removed from the course proper, and Holderness, followed by Nonpareil, were sent round, the former commencing and finishing at top speed, and moved strong and well. Sam Higgott's Champagne colt by Javelin— Flattery, who by-the-by is named Free Lanoe, was indulged in a spin later on, and moved in good style. A number of others were out taking an airing, with an occasional short canter. On Thursday morning Natator and Vanguard, we hear, did good gal'ops on the turf.
