Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under:— TUESDAY, MAECH 2S. For Northern Ports, per Penguin, at 7 p.m.. The guard's van must not be used for this mail. WE3NESDAY, MAECH 29. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe (for correspondence addressed via Brindisi only), Point de Galle, India, China, Japan, the East, Aden, Mauritius, Suez, the Mediterranean Ports, Australian Colonies, &c, per Te Anau, at 12.30 p.m.; late fee letters, 12.45 p.m.; guard's van, 1.25 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies, via, Sydney, per Wakatipu, 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.30 p m. ; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Kaikonra, per Tui, at 4.20 p.m.; late fee letters, 4.35 p.m.; guard's van, 5.*5 pm, train. THUESDAY, MAECH 30. For Aiaroa and Otago, per Wanaka, at 8.20 a.m. ; late fee letters, jS.3O a.m.; guard's van, 9.5<a.m. train.
For Noethern Ports and Australian Colonies, per Eotoniahana (connecting with Botorna at Auckland, for Sydney), at 3.29 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.30 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train.
