The Eldorado of doracEtio rervants (the " Echo" says) is not Manitoba, but Wyoming. A Wyoming journalist thus bemoans tho fact that these young women are masters of the position ; " We sometimes wish that nature had designed us for a hired girl, ir.stead of ru editor, so that we could have bean independent. In this oountry 'a hired girl' is only another name for afllueuce and financial stability. It is not an unoommon occurrence for a girl to oome West, work at rogular wages two or three years, and then, as an heiress, marry a bloated capitalist and settle down. It is a horrible fact that, unless something is done to prevent the centralisation of capital among the servant girls of Wyoming, a revolution cannot be avoided."
