fPEE FBBSS ASSOCIATION.] NAPIER, March 25. The Overcrowded GaolFifteen long-sentenoed prisoners left by the steamer Kiwi to-day, to relieve the overcrowded gaol. Some are destined for Lyttelton, and others for Wellington. WELLINGTON, Maroh 25 Bled to EeathA man named Charles Wm. Bell, stationer, of Courtenay place, and secretary to the Britannia Lodge of Oddfellows, broke a bloodvessel in the street this morning, and bled to death >n a few minutes. Deceased was consumptive. Ho leaves a wife and two children. Petty Larceny. At the Polioo Court this morning, Edward Arnold, formerly third cook of the ss. Hawea, was sentenced to six months hard labor for stealing four spoons and a fork from the Union Steamship Company. They wero found in a box in his house. The Sculling Match. The Champion Sculling Race is to be rowed at four o'clook this afternoon. The harbor at present is as smooth as a mill pond. The betting is Blightly in favor of Hears.
