The Cloture QuestionThe discussion in the House of Commons on the Premier’s motion for the adoption of a modified form of clotnre was continued to a late hour last night, and was at length further adjourned. In the course of the debate Lord Hartingdon announced that the Government had definitely decided to make the proposal for cloture a Cabinet question, and to stand or fall by the result. Obituary. The death is announced to-day of Sir John Nodes Dickenson, Knight, aged 76. The deceased was formerly Puisne Judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. The Protos’ Shipment. fjThe mutton, ox steamship Protos, has realised an average of 5Jd per lb. The meat had suffered by the temporary stopping of the refrigerating machine on the voyage, and had in consequence become somewhat soft.
