COMMERCIAL TELEGRAMS. Auckland, March 17. One of the principal features of the week has been the brisk business in oats, amounting to a rise of about 6d per bushel. Stocks are light, and the demand possibly is in some degree speculative. Dealers are rather exercised, and the market is unsettled. Transactions for good samples are said to have taken place as high as 3a. 4d. Maize is still scarce. Wheat has realised 4s 6d to 4s 9d. Wellington, March 17. Mr James O’Shea reports :—Flour—Adelaide, JBIS to J 1 5 10s; Canterbury, jBIO 10s to Jill; Oamaru- do do; sharps, 95s to 100 s; bran,77s 6d to 80s ; oats, 2s lOd to 3s for feed ; milling, 3s 3d ; potatoes, 60s to 655, very firm ; cheese, 4d to 4j;d; butter, salt, kegs, 6d and 7d ; fresh, 9d and lOd; hops.
