The volunteers and fire brigades turned out and the Mayor gave an address, and there will be a ball to-night. The Late Band Contest. The Scottish Band were presented with gold medals last night at a concert held for the purpose. The medals were the first prizes at the late band contest in Auokland. The Native Minister. The Hon. Fonnd DeadAn old woman, named Jano Bobertson, who had been living alone at Davenport, was found dead in her residenoe last evening, having evidently expired in a fit. There was no seizure in Esther and Low's premises, as reported, everything being found correot there.
