Mails dose at the Chief Put Offloe for the .‘ollowing place# (subject to the necessary alteration#} as under TUESDAY, MAECH 14. For Otago and Australian colonies, per Arawata, at 1.45 p.m.; late fee letters at 2 p.m. ; guard’s van, 2 40 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Wanaks, at 1.45 p.m.; late fee letters, at 2 p.m. ; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. WEDNESDAY, MAECH 15. For the United Kingdom. Continent of Europe, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), Point de Galle, India, China, Japan, the East, Aden, Mauritius, Suez, Mediterranean Forts, Australian Colonies, &c„ ner express train (to connect with s.s. Hero), at 7 a.a. Notick.—Penny duty stamps may in future be used as postage stamps, and penny postage stamps may be affixed to receipts in place of duty stamps. Notice —Magazines, if posted in re vers open at the end and marked ‘’Max rinc rest,” can be sent to any part of Now Zealand at the rate of one half-penny for each two ounces.
