LICENSING COMMITTEES.

ELLESMERE. Tho first meeting of this new committee was held on Friday. Present, all the members. Mr E. J. Lee was elected chairman. Tho following applications for wholesale licenses wore granted, viz.,—Wauohop and Co., Cameron and Co. W. Spring, of Lseston Hotel, applied for leave to open an additianal bar, which was granted. The police report* on the hotels in the district were read and considered satisfactory.
