The Customs duties collected at Christchurch on Thursday, March Bth, were as follows Spirits, jBIBS 8s 9d ; tobacco. .£7O Os 8d; cigars, JEBS 16s lid; wine, £26 5s ; beer, £67 3s ; sugar, £lO 6s 3d ; tea, £53 17s 8d ; goods by weight, £'2 2s 7d ; ad valorem, £99 ss; other duties, £8 Os 2d. Total, £365 6s 4d. At the usual sitting of the Waste Lards Board, hold at Christchurch on March 9th, sales were mode as follows : Ordinary, Selwyn, 5 acres ; Waimale, 2 roods ; village settlement: Fairlie Creek, 1 acre 2 roods. Total acreage sold, 7 acres. Total cash received, £74. Kofunds on account of former purchases were made in the amount of £5 12s 6d.
