His Excellency the Governor has telegraphed to Earl Kimberley, Secretary of State for the Colonies, conveying congratulations upon the escape of Her Majesty from the attack recently made upon her life. SYDNEY, March 4. Cricket. McDonnell is not out for 53, and Bannerman not out for 36. Both are batting well. The weather is showery. The score at the luncheon adjournment was 103 for three wickets. Later. The cricket match between the All England Eleven and the Australian Eleven was continued to-day. McDonnell and Bannerman resumed their places at the wickets. The weather was showery, and play had to be stopped when the score had reached 146 for three wickets. McDonnell was not out for 72, Bannerman not out 59.
