[eexjteb’s telegrams.] MELBOURNE, February 21. Shipping. Sailed, this afternoon—Union Company’s steamer Rotorua, for the Bluff. SYDNEY, February 21, The Cricket Match. The cricket match between Shaw’s All England Eleven and the Combined Australian team was concluded to-day, and resulted in a victory for the latter by five wickets. The Australians, in their second innings scored 169 runs for five wickets. Horan made 12, McDonnell 25, Murdoch 49, Garrett (not out) 21, Jones (not out) 12. The Conspiracy TrialThe trial of Messrs Baker, Waddell, and Matheson, for conspiracy to defraud the shareholders of the Milbnrn Creek Copper-mining Company, continues. The evidence of Mr Bennett, formerly legal manager of the company, and which was taken to-day, proved the preparation of a balance-sheet for presentation to the shareholders at a meeting held at Blayney on the 25th July, 1881. Mr Bennett was still under examination when the Court rose.
