The trial of Messrs Baker, Waddell, and Matheson, for conspiring to defraud the shareholders of the Milburn Creek Copper Mining Company, was commenced to-day, when the case for the prosecution waa opened by Mr Want. The prisoners pleaded " Not guilty."
