The whole course was thrown open to trainers this morning, and advantage was taken to give several of the honea engaged at the meeting trying gallops. Clarence and sevoral other jumpers were out early and did strong work. Nautilus went two miles at top speed, moving very nioely. JC'ng Quail and Adamant covered the Gup distanoe in company, racing the whole distance, two miles of which were covered in Smin. 47seo. This was a really good gallop, and there was not a pin to choose between the pair at the finish. Luna went two rounds pretty fast, and Butler subsequently sent The Agent a similar distance. The two-year-old Te Ata finished the last three-quarters of a mile with him. Libeller did a fine gallop over the Cup distance. Armourer accompanying him for the first portion of the journey, and Turquoise for the last. The Cup horse accomplished the whole distance in 4inn. 6aeo. Billingsgate only cantered. Cutts stripped Chancellor, Mataku and the Dauphin, and sent them a diDgdong gallop over the Cup ground, finishing up at racing speed. It is impossible to say what weights were up, but The Dauphin appeared to carry the most. He tailed off at the finish, while Mataku had a bit the best of Chancellor, who did not move very kindly. Tasman with a rug on went half a mile alone, when he was joined by Mr Lee's Ace of Hearts filly, and the pair finished another mile and a half together. These include all the penalties. Since the publication of acceptance! the betting has ohanged slightly. Libeller is quoted now at sto 2; Mataku, 3 to 1; The Dauphin has receded to 6to 1; Hilda and King Quail, Bto 1; Lad; Emma has receded to 10 to 1 j Titania also to 100 to 4.
