OHRISTOHUBOH. Tuesday, Fbbbtjaby 21. Dhtjnkbnnbss.—For a first offence a man wbb fined 5s and ordered to pay lg cab-hire. SiEALiNa Tools.—Edward Wright was charged with the laroeny of tools, valued at 10a, from B. Thompson, at 10s, from James McHale, and at 9d, from E. Alfrey. Prisoner had taken the tools from out of the baskets of carpenters working at a building, and sold them to a second-hand dealer, at whose shop they were seen by the owners. Prisoner denied the thefts, saying he had bought the things from Stewart, the pawnbroker. After heariDg evidence, the Magistrate said there could not be any doubt as to the prisoner's guilt, and having been twice previously oonvioted of laroeny, he was sentenced to two months' impoisonment with hard labor,
