Consols remain at 99|-. New Zealand securities are unchanged. Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse, remains at 555. New Zealand wheat has declined Is, and is now quoted at 525. Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, has fallen 6d, to 41s. Australian tallow Best beef, 425; best mutton has fallen 6d, and is quoted to-day at 48s. The Mails. The Australian and New Zealand mails via San Francisco, which left Auckland on January 3rd, were delivered here to-day. The mails via Suez and Brindisi, per P. and O. steamship Carthage, which left Melbourne on January the 4th, and the supplementary mails, per the steamship Orient, from Melbourne, on January the 5-th, were also delivered here to-day. The Cloture. It is rumoured that Mr. Gladstone intends to make the proposed introduction of cloture in the House of Commons a Cobiuet question. Explanatory.
