I quaticElias Laycock, oarsman, sails for England by the steamship Liguria on Friday next. It is understood that he goes for the purpose of assisting Trickett. MELBOURNE, February 15. The Wool Season.
Messrs Goldaborough and Go.’s review of the past Australian wool season shows that ia Melbourne and Geelong 158,000 bales have been sold, being an increase of 29 per cent. In Sydney 75,000 bales have been sold, an increase of 50 per ■cent. A total of 40,000 bales sold in Adelaide also shows a satisfactory increase on previous seasons.
