HEATHCOIE BIGATTA. A meeting of the Heathoote Regatta committee was held at Warner'* Commercial Hotel on Wednesday night. Mr J. Huy ocoupied the ohair. It was resolved traffic manager of tho railway, asking that the boats taking part in the rogatta be conveyed free of oharge on the railway." The laying off. of the courae was entrusted to Mr J. Day. Mr J. W. Davis was appointed as umpire. Mr Monck's offer of the use of his paddock for tho oonvenienoe of the crews was accepted with thanks. It was resolved to advertise for tenders for a pablioan's and confectioner's booth, and for a band. Gifts of cups were reported from his Worship tho Mayor, Messrs EL Wynn Williams, i Monson, and J. W. Ellen. It was agresd to allot the Mayor's cup to the Champion Fours' Baoe; that given by Mr Wynn Williams to the Senior Pairs j. that given by Mr Monson, to the Double Sculls ; and that by Mr Ellen, to (he Swimming Race, The oostumo in the Swimming Baoe wag fixed as being singlet and trousers to the knee. Several further subscriptions wero announced. Tho meeting then adjourned:
