Tha Customs duties collected at Christoharch on Monday, February 6th, were as follows: Spirits, JJ4O7 10s 6d ; tobacco, .£ls 15s ; cigars, £321 12s; wine, .£25 7s ; beer, £35 15s 6d; sugar, £lßl 19s 7d ; tea, £72 15s lOd ; goods by weight, £IBO 16s lld|; ad valorem, £378 11s ; other duties, £ll6 sa. Total, £1786 9a 4d. At the usual sitting of the Waste Lands Board, held at Christchurch on Monday, February 6th, sales were made as follows: Ordinary : Ashley, 40a ; Selwyn, 28a Or 19p ; Ashburton, 22a lr 37p ; Geraldine, la ; Waimate, 3a 3r 39p. Special Powers and Contracts Act: Fairlie creek township, lr. Total acreage sold, 95a 3r 15p. Total cash received, £3203 3s 9d. Refunds on account of former purchases were made in the amount of £172 9s 6d.
