[bbtjteb's TELEGRAMS.] BERLIN, January 30. Prorogation of ParliamentThe German Parliament, which has been sitting since November 15th last, was prorogued to-day. CAIRO, January 30. The Ministerial CrisisThe Assembly of Notables at its last sitting decided to propose, with a view to bring about a settlement of the difficulty which exists with the Ministry, that the Chamber and Council of Ministers should jointly have power to vote on the Budget. This proposal is now being considered by Cherif Pasha and his colleagues, but no decision has yet been come to. The other points which were in dispute between the Notables and Ministers have been amicably settled. PARIS, January 30. The Commercial Treaty. In the Chamber of Deputies, a motion was passed approving of the prolongation of the existing Anglo-French Commercial Treaties to the 31st March next. Bursting of a Dam—Thirty Persons Drowned. A serious disaster is reported from Calais. The dam of the reservoir in that city burst to-day, and flooded a large extent of the surrounding country. Thirty persons have been drowned by the inundation of their homes, and a considerable amount of damage has been done to property. •
