THE EXHIBITION.
This morning Mr Lambert, the architect for the Exhibition, submitted his plan of the proposed site and approaches for the final approval of the Domain Board. It was decided that the main public entrance to the grounds should be 1 in the Riooarton road at a spot about a chain and a half from the corner of Lincoln road, A carriage drive, half a chain in width, will extend along the inner avenue of young trees to the main entrance to the Exhibition, facing which will bo another carriage entrance to the grounds from Lincoln road, opposite St. Asaph street. This latter will also bo used for the transit of exhibits, a lino of rails being laid down in connection with the tramway. The building, when erected, will in no way encroach upon the made cricket ground used by the Addington Club, on the north-west portion of the site. It is expected that all the preliminaries will be completed by Monday, when the first foundation post of the building will probably be driven by his Worship the Mayor.
