THE EXHIBITION.
An official vißit wm made to Hagley Park this morning, for the purpose of fixing the site for the Exhibition. Mr L. Harper and Major Lean were present from the Domain Beard, to see that the interests of the publio were not injuriously affeoted in the arrangements about to be carried out; and his Worship the Mayor was also present. Mr Twopeny was accompanied by Mr Lambert, the architect for the Exhibition, and Mr Mitohell, the New Zealand agent. The building will face Lincoln road and the main entrance will be opposite St. Asaph street. The Domain Board will visit the Park to-morrow morning for the purpose of considering Mr Lambert's plan. A telegram was reoeived from the Premier this morning by his Worship the Mayor stating that in the absence from Christohurch of the Commiisioner of Grown Lands the Government would be willing to receive the report of the Domain Board as to the pro* posed site,
