Mail* close at the Chief Foit Office for the following places (sabjeat to the neoszsary alterations) as under : SATURDAY, JANUARY 21. For Otago, per Go-A head,'at 11.30 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.40 a.m.; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Wanaka, at 7.15 p,m. The guard's van must not be need for this mail. MONDAY, JANUARY 23. For Northern Ports, per Alhambra, at 11.30 a.m.; late f<e lettors, 11.40 a.m. ; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Napier, Gieborne, and Auckland, per Southern Cross, at 11.30 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.40 a.m.; guard's Tan, 12.10 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will be closed at Cbristchurch on Saturday, January 2Sth, and will be due in London on March 13th. BYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
