Mails close at the Chief Pott Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) ns under SATURDAY, JANUARY 21. For Otago, per Go-Ahead,fat 11.33 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.40 a.m.; guard’s van, 12.10 pm. train. For Northern Porta, per Wanaka, at 7.15 p.m. The guard’s van must not be used for this mail. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will bo closed at Christchurch on Saturday, January 28tb, and will be due in London on March 13th. SIDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
