The Wakatip races (reports the "Mail") were well attended, but financially they were not a success, owing to the comparatively small number of entries. The Maiden Plate was won by Mr Smith's Snowdrift easily, and the Arrow Handicap by Mr McKenna's old favorite Haricot, after a hard struggle with Marmaluke and Playboy. The Wakatip Handicap was almost a gift to Mr Tuoby's Feagh, the only other competitor, Marksman, having been nearly run to death, just previously in the District Haok Race (heats), for which, inadvisedly, himself and two other horses had to run four times. Mr Herman's Investment oarried off the Farmers' and Miners' Race against a field of nine others, and Mr Moneon's Marmaluke the Jockey Club Handicap, after a gallant struggle with Mr McKenna's Playboy. Theße two latter races were the best of this meeting.
