The Customs duties collected at Christchurch on Monday, January Bth, were as follows: Spirits, .£302 11a 3d; tobacco, .£9B 10s 6d; cigars. 1323 11s 6d ; wine, £lO 16s lOd ; beer, £4 1b ; sugar, £73 Is 6d ; tea, £25 15s 4d ; goods by weight, £63 3s Id; ad valorem, £314 10s; other duties, £129 5s lOd. Total, £950 6s lOd. At the usual sitting of the Waste Lauds Board, held at Christchurch on January 9th, sales were made as follows :—Ordinary, Selwyn, S3a Ir 30p; Akaroa, 23a 2r 36p; Ashburton. 61a 3r 36p ; Geraldine, 25a 3r 7p; Borough of Waimate town land, 2a lr 34p. Total acreage sold, 167 alr 23p. Total cash received, £452 7s 3d. Refunds on account of former purchases were made in the amount of £l9O Is 9d.
