The ketch Clematis, owned by Mr Duncan, came off Messrs Miilerand Co.’s slip yesterday, after undergoing an extensive overhaul, under the supervision of the Marino Surveyor, Oapt. Dnnsford. This vessel, it may be remembered, went ashore at Kaiapoi a short while back, and it was then feared she would be seriously injured. It appears, however, that the apprehension which was then expressed for her condition was, fortunately for her cwners, loss serious than he had been led to expect, and yesterday the ketch came into deep water, looking, and to all intents and purposes, as good as before the accident, if not batter.
