The Oaatomß duties collected at Ghriatchnroh on Thurßday, January sth, were as followB:—• Spirits. £63 5s 8d; tobacco, £75 15s 6d; cigars, £43 183 Od ; cigarettes, £45; snuff, £lB 6s; •wine, £62 9a ; sugar, £53 18s ; tea, X 77 9s 4d ; Koods by weight, £737 4s 2d; timber, .£l5B 14a 9d; ad valorem, £BBB 3s; other duties, J 8149 14b. Total, £2382 18s 2d. The collections on Friday, January 6th, ware:—Spirit?, £395 14s; tobacco, £174 14a 6d; opium, £4B ss; wine, £9l 15s 2d ; sugar, £ls 6s 7d ; goods by weight, £l2B 7a Id; ad valorem, £>6 8a; other duties, JE47 Bs. Total, £95718s 4d. At the usual sitting of the Waste Lands Board, held at Cbristchurch on Thursday, January sth, sales were made as follows : Ashley, 20* ; Ashburton, 82a lr 8p ; Geraldme, 8a 2r 37p. Total acreage sold. Ilia Or sp. Total cash received, £222 is 3d. Refunds on account of former purchases were made in the amount of £8 10s.
